I consider this track their forever young of the 90's. A slow version and a danceable beat mix. This was taken from their album Salvation released in 1998.

Burning Skies Of Elysium - Out On The Paperchase 5" (1987)

Or simply called Elysium for short. Released this full length album in 1987 and later re-issued on cd in 1993 with 3 bonus tracks. The cd is now out of print and very hard to find. I suggest not to pass it up if or when you find a copy. I can compare their style of music to sad lovers and giants.

The Dutch - This Is Welfare 5" (1983)

One of the most underrated and underappreciated new wave bands (from Holland) of the 80's. Their influences ranged from Magazine and Japan to Joe Jackson and Peter Hammill but they gradually managed to create their own unique sound. A subtle mixture of spidery guitars, lush saxophones, and elastic (fretless) bass. Their 1983 debut single "This Is Welfare" gave the band quite a lot of airplay on the main radiostations in Holland and also reached no. 25 in the charts. I am sharing 4 out of 12 songs from this cd. If you like what you hear, you can buy their cd at Redsunrecords.

1000 Mexicans - Under Construction (Thumping Great Dance Mix) 12" (1984)

1000 Mexicans were one of the most innovative and creative independent bands of the 1980s, combining quality pop songwriting and rhythmic and harmonic richness with their unique touches of experimentalism and eccentricity. I must say that this is their best single released.

This Final Frame - Flowers In The Spring (Unofficial Video) (2009)

FLOWERS IN THE SPRING The first track written for the album was "Flowers In The Spring". This was a solo effort by Paul in 2007. Paul had been contacted by a couple of German fans, Caroline and Marcel. Their interest in a band now defunct for over 20 years gave Paul some confidence to try to write and sing again. Paul booked a studio with engineer Mike Watson who worked with the Lotus Eaters in recent years. The song simply represents the feeling of rebirth. Spring time leading to the emotions, colours and sensuality of summer. This was Paul’s return to music after a long winter. I made this video to help promote the band's debut album "My Blue Heart", out now on cd. You can order the cd at their website:

Freheit - Keeping The Dream Alive (Extended Version) 12" (1988)

A band from Germany. Now regarded as a Christmas classic in the UK, "Keeping the Dream Alive" still receives a lot of airplay at Christmas time and can be found included on many Christmas CD compilations. Failed to chart in the United States when it was originally released, gaining favour with the American public only after it was featured in the soundtrack for the movie Say Anything.
