Ric Manrique Jr. - Kapalaran (Hehehe)

Ric Manrique Jr (ORIGINAL PHILIPPINE MUSIC) Born in Manila on May 23, 1941, the “King of Kundiman” first claim to fame was in 1960, when he became champion for 12 weeks in Tawag ng Tanghalan, a nationally televised amateur singing contest. The TV show’s program director Teddy Valdemor took notice of Manrique’s talent and composed for him his first big hit song, “Till I Die”. Since then, he became a popular singer, interpreting popular movie them songs such as “Sapagkat Kami Ay Tao Lamang”, and “Dahil Sa Isang Bulaklak”. Later on, he would become a member of the Mabuhay Singers under the Villar Recording Company.

Nine Ways To Win - Nine Ways To Win 12" (1983)

Short-lived New Wave/Synthpop duo formed by vocalist Jonathan Hughston and instrumentalist/producer David Ferguson during the early 80s. They only released one self-titled album and two singles in 1983 before dissapearing. My personal favorites among the tracks are Close To You, Painting Over Cracks, Lights All Over The World, and Breaking Bread.

Roaring Boys - Roaring Boys 12" (1986)

House Of Stone is probably the most memorable tune released by this group in 1986. I heard a few tracks that will grow on you after a couple of spin like "Every Second Of The Day", "Again And Again", "Strange Girl"...
